Description

As the Director of Forensic Testing, you will be responsible for leading the overall Forensic Testing program for Fidelity Asset Management Compliance (AMC).  You will bring a fresh perspective to every challenge and offer objective advice and fresh insights to help drive the business solution for AMC.
You will actively establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships to enable the success of the Forensic Testing program. Drawing on your knowledge and experience, you will provide innovative insights and adapt methods and practices to fit the operational needs of AMC and contribute to thought leadership.
You will work with Compliance, Technology, Data Analysis and Business specialists within the organization.
This opportunity can be located in either our Merrimack, NH or Smithfield, RI office.
Primary Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility of the AMC Forensic Testing Program
  • Identify and assess forensic testing needs and manage any changes across the organization
  • Lead monthly reporting to senior management
  • Liaison with AMC subject matter experts and Asset Management technology

Education and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related business discipline (Masters or MBA degree preferred)
  • Experience working in an asset management firm, private bank, investment area of an insurance company, mutual fund complex, third-party service provider, or as a consultant in one of these companies.  Experience as a  Business Analyst/Architect is an asset
  • Experience in data analytics, business intelligence or reporting

Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation  and technical writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing industry and deep content knowledge in the Asset Management area
  • Demonstrated ability to be an effective contributor and manager of a team through all phases of an initiative life cycle
  • Knowledgeable in data analytics, data governance and information management
  • Investment management experience including:
    • Investment products (all asset classes)
    • Regulatory, compliance and risk management
    • Trade confirmation and settlement operations ("Middle Office")
    • Trading or portfolio management support
    • Investment or fund accounting, insurance accounting or shareholder recordkeeping
    • Development of multi-phase roadmaps and/or operating models
  • Project lifecycle experience with:
  • Business requirements
  • Program/project management and implementation planning (PMO)
  • System selection and implementation support
  • Data mapping and conversion
  • Proof of concept
  • Quality assurance and testing
  • The ability to analyze and review business data to identify key indicators pertaining to operations, risk, finance, compliance, or process and controls
  • The ability to design and implement analytical business and technology solutions to meet identified key indicators
  • The ability to perform data forensics to identify suspicious transactions
  • Experience using analytics/BI packages (e.g. Cognos, Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Spotfire, Qlikview, Tableau, SAS) to build client analysis solutions
  • Business Analytics skills,
  • Other technical skills including SQL, MS Excel, MS Access
