Amec Foster Wheeler Environment & Infrastructure is currently seeking an intermediate level Human Health and Ecological Risk Assessor to join our dynamic team in Kennesaw, GA.

Do you have 2 to 5 years of working experience in human health and / or ecological risk assessment who is interested in career growth? This position requires the individual to work on a variety of projects with limited travel for field work.

Key Responsibilities

•Management of environmental data and database queries for use in risk assessments

•Completion of quantitative CERCLA / RCRA style human health and ecological risk assessments

•Should be able to perform statistical analysis with complex datasets (ProUCL)

•Conduct scientific literature searches and perform critical review and compilation of site documentation for use in risk assessments for CERCLA, RCRA and state Superfund and brownfield sites

•Develop conceptual site exposure models

•Support field sampling of environmental media (surface water, soil, sediment, biota, air, groundwater)

•Prepare technical reports, proposals and client presentations

•Strong commitment to company’s Beyond Zero Safety program

•Follow company safety standards, site safety standards and maintain safe workplace practice

Skills / Qualifications

•Degree in biological sciences, toxicology, or similar field

•Master’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred

•Ability to achieve professional registration or certification (CHMM or equivalent)

•Minimum 2-5 years of related risk assessment experience. Consulting experience preferred

•Understanding of state and federal regulatory frameworks (RCRA, CERCLA, NEPA, NRDA, etc.). Experience with Georgia Hazardous Site Response Act (HSRA) preferred

•Experience with water quality issues and soil / sediment contamination

•Knowledge of vapor intrusion and lead exposure modeling preferred

•Strong oral and written communication skills

•Working knowledge of statistics, including ProUCL and MS Office applications

•Working knowledge of risk assessment databases

•Must be able to travel locally and nationally as necessary

•Must be located in the Atlanta area or willing to relocate to the Atlanta area

•Must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
