Product Controller- Director

 
Our client, a major international bank with offices in Boston and New York is seeking a Director level Product Controller to support various groups in their Corporate and Investment Banking groups. This role will manage the accounting, reporting and analysis   as well as new product support and business modeling for the Leasing, Structured Finance and Securitization groups. The incumbent will partner with business stakeholders to develop and implement accounting standards (GAAP) and systems. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years audit/accounting experience in leasing within a bank.
 
 
 
Major Responsibilities:

• Responsible for complex financial reporting and analysis
• Partner with business to develop and implement new accounting standards and systems.
• Conduct regulatory research and analysis for existing/new Investment Banking products
• Analyze specific transactions for adherence to accounting and regulatory standards
• Oversee the allocation of expenses to business units

•  Integral part of the New Product committee
• Consult on strategic initiatives and special projects

 
Job Requirements:
·         8+ years of audit/accounting experience  in leasing within a bank; ideally 5 + years as a Product Controller supporting investment banking

•  Extensive domestic travel -  4-5 days per week (home on weekends)

·         Strong analytical and problem solving skills and strategic thinker that can achieve business objectives
·         Ability to multi-task with strong organizational and time management skills
·         Strong presentation and communication (both written and verbal) skills
·         Highly proficient in Microsoft Office- Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
·         Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required – CPA or MBA highly preferred
