Call for Nominations:

Risk Analysis, An International Journal, is seeking to fill the position of Editor-in-Chief:

The position is a five-year appointment with salary negotiable.

The EIC is expected to have experience with the journal, good familiarity with a range of risk-related subjects, and experience as an editor or journal manager, He/she should be a member of SRA and be able to convene a meeting each year with the Editorial Staff and Editorial Board at the Society for Risk Analysis Annual Meeting, in addition to other meetings as necessary.

Responsibilities
The EIC works closely with the Managing Editor to oversee the peer-review process for submitted manuscripts and is responsible to approve papers for publication in the journal and to guide strategic development of the journal.

Duties include:

• Prepare, monitor and update journal goals and objectives.
• Assess journal accomplishments and needs.
• Work with the SRA Council to secure needed resources for journal operations or new initiatives.
• Provide guidance and advice to Area Editors in their management of the review process for submitted papers.
• Resolve differences in editorial assessments of papers.
• Evaluate constitution of Editorial Board, and consult with Editorial Board members as necessary.
• Work with the publisher to improve the quality and reach of the journal.
• Propose new ideas and directions for the journal.
• Propose new and evaluate existing publication forms.
• Periodically survey readers in order to help to set priorities.
