Harvard Center for Risk Analysis Announces October Workshop on Cross-Disciplinary Research Synthesis

This workshop, slated for October 3, 2013, in Cambridge, MA, is designed to address how methods for research synthesis are used in different fields.

From the project organizers:

Please join us for the Harvard Center for Risk Analysis (HCRA) workshop, "Methods for Research Synthesis: A Cross-Disciplinary Approach." The workshop will be held on October 3, 2013 in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

This workshop addresses how methods for research synthesis (including systematic review, meta-analysis, and expert elicitation) are used in different fields. It includes presentation of a series of invited papers that consider the extent to which each method, alone or in combination, is appropriate for particular types of problems and data, as well as needed innovations. More information on the workshop, including the preliminary list of papers, is available on the Center for Risk Analysis website: http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/hcra/research-synthesis-project/.
