Fukushima: Two Years Later

SRA-Japan has released a 69-page report on responses to the March 2011 earthquake, tsunami and nuclear reactor meldown.

The report, now posted on the SRA-Japan website, examines the range of risk management, risk governance and risk communication issues associated with the Great East Japan Earthquake and the subsequent sequence of events, and it documents the responses of government officials and risk professionals to the situation. The events are analyzed as a low-probability/high-consequence disaster that challenged the conventional scope of risk analysis.
