The Harvard Center for Risk Analysis (HCRA) workshop, "Methods for Research Synthesis: A Cross-Disciplinary Approach" addressed how methods for research synthesis (including systematic review, meta-analysis, and expert elicitation) are used in different fields. It included presentation of a series of invited papers that consider the extent to which each method, alone or in combination, is appropriate for particular types of problems and data, as well as needed innovations. More information on the workshop, including the agenda and papers, is available on the Center for Risk Analysis website: http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/hcra/research-synthesis-project/. The final program can also be downloaded here.
This workshop was co-sponsored by SRA's Economics and Benefit Analysis Specialty Group.
