The selectee for this position will serve as a Biologist, Toxicologist, Industrial Hygienist, or Environmental Engineer, providing human health risk assessment support, in the Environmental Programs (EP) Department, Risk Assessment and Toxicology Division of the Navy and Marine Corps Public Health Center.

• Coordinates and provides expert human health risk assessment/toxicology support to the Navy and Marine Corps

• Reviews Navy and Marine Corps program requirements, site-or topic-specific risk analysis, health and safety issues and/or public health issues

• Provides subject matter expert review and evaluation of federal, state and contractor developed environmental risk assessment documents and other health related studies

• Prepares, delivers, and/or participates in formal training on the principles and best practices of risk assessments in workshops, seminars, courses, meetings and other venues

• Actively participates in key decision making sessions

• Calculates human health risk related to environmental exposures (soil, water, ambient air, sediment, vapor intrusion) following CERCLA Guidance
