SRA President Ortwin Renn has announced that the next World Congress will take place in Singapore on July 19-23, 2015.
The Congress will be organized around the theme of “Risk Analysis for Sustainable Innovation” and will focus on issues of development, urban planning, technology foresight, and environmental quality and health. The Congress will consist mainly of symposia that SRA members or other interested parties would like to organize. In addition, a limited number of individual papers will be presented, along with posters.
The local organizer in Singapore will be Michael Riediker (firstname.lastname@example.org ). Renn will chair the international organization committee together with co-chairs Robin Cantor, Funding (email@example.com), and Igor Linkov, Program (firstname.lastname@example.org).
While the official call for symposia, papers and posters will be distributed at a later date, the committee is currently seeking early symposium ideas, as well as suggestions for organizations that might be interested in developing symposia. Sponsorship ideas, especially those local to the Singapore area, are also needed. Please contact the appropriate co-chair listed above with any information or suggestions along these lines. Additional organizing committee volunteers are welcome; suggestions for local organizing committee members and potential invited speakers from the Singapore area can also be sent directly to Renn (email@example.com).
The committee notes that Singapore is easy to reach from the US or Europe and airfares are reasonable. They plan to offer several hotels to choose from, in a wide price range.
