Co-Sponsor Events

Cosponsor2

In terms of events and promotion, SRA provides members and event organizers with two pathways: SRA co-sponsorship or external event promotion. The application process for both of these pathways are separate, as described below.

The Society for Risk Analysis (SRA) welcomes opportunities to co-sponsor events organized by other organizations, or specialty groups within SRA. Co-sponsorship provides event organizers with outreach to SRA members. It helps SRA provide additional opportunities for professional education and networking to its members.

Application Guidelines:

If a person wishes for SRA to co-sponsor an event, an Event Co-Sponsorship form must be submitted. All applications are reviewed by the SRA Conferences and Workshops Committee and a decision will be made within 3-4 weeks. SRA reserves the right to choose which events will be featured on its website. If you have additional questions, please email events@sra.org.

Event organizers are encouraged to connect with SRA’s Communication team if additional materials are needed or if you have questions about promotional opportunities via SRAComms@burkinc.com.

The information you provide on the form will help SRA determine whether your event is an appropriate one for co-sponsorship. We are interested in whether:

  • The event would be of interest to SRA members
  • The objectives for the event are consistent with SRA objectives
  • The meeting is open to anyone who is interested to attend

SRA co-sponsorship is non-financial. We publicize co-sponsored events on the SRA website and in regular communications to SRA members. Events that are co-sponsored by SRA are regularly featured in SRA’s monthly newsletter under the section titled, “Upcoming SRA Co-Sponsored Events,” with the link to the event’s website.

Event organizers must:

  • acknowledge SRA co-sponsorship in any form of promotion for the event
  • use the SRA logo on event materials (which SRA will provide)
  • provide information about SRA (which SRA will provide) to event attendees
  • provide us with a report back that describes how the SRA logo was used and how SRA was acknowledged during the event

SRA EXTERNAL EVENT PROMOTION

The Society for Risk Analysis (SRA) welcomes opportunities to promote external events organized by members. Event promotion introduces SRA members to activities that are not affiliated with SRA but offer helpful and relevant information.

Application Guidelines:

If a person wishes for SRA to promote an event that falls outside of SRA’s organization, a Promotion Request form must be submitted.

The information provided will help SRA determine whether your event is an appropriate one for promotion. We are interested in whether:

  • The event would be of interest to SRA members
  • The objectives for the event are consistent with SRA objectives
  • The meeting is open to anyone who is interested to attend

Decisions will be made by the SRA Conferences and Workshops Committee in consult with the Executive Committee. Events will be listed in the SRA Newsletter in the “Outside Events” section. If you have questions, please email SRAComms@burkinc.com.
