Dr Emma Soane is a Chartered Psychologist and an Associate Professor of Management at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Emma’s research examines how personality, leadership, and organisational environments influence risk, decisions and performance. She is developing new models of risk that explain how organisational cultures and structures influence decision processes that shift organisational risk profiles. Emma also studies how team processes shape decisions about risk. She has published several quantitative studies examining personality, decision making and risk-taking. While studying these topics, Emma has worked with a wide range of public and private sector organisations, including government departments, hospitals, IT, television production and investment banks.
