Our next SRA-ANZ Annual Meeting will be at UNSW’s main campus in Sydney, 27-29 January 2027.
The SRA Annual Meeting brings together a cross-disciplinary community of scientists from academia, industry, and government dedicated to risk science in all aspects of our connected world.
SRA ANZ is excited to be partnering with the National University of Singapore’s Institute for Public Risk Understanding (link) and the UNSW Institute for Climate Risk and Response (link) for the 2027 SRA ANZ and Pacific Annual Meeting from Wednesday, 27 January to Friday, 29 January 2026.

From insightful discussions and groundbreaking research to hands-on workshops and social events, this is your chance to connect with the brightest minds in risk analysis.

- Abstract submissions open: 1 July 2026

- Notification of Abstract Outcome: early October 2026
- Registrations open: mid-October 2026

Conference details
Registration inclusions: Registration includes morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea for Day 1 and Day 2, and includes morning tea on Day 3. As part of registration, you are also invited to attend the poster session (light refreshments and nibbles provided). We welcome early career professionals and researchers, Pacific Island Nations and First Nations attendees to please take advantage of our reduced rate.

As part of the conference, we encourage you to enrich your experience with side workshops or social networking events:
- Conference Dinner – The conference dinner will take place near to UNSW on Thursday 28th January. The price includes a meal, beer, wine and soft drink.

Accommodation
There are many accommodation options available near UNSW, or staying at Coogee Beach is a popular favourite, with easy to access public transport to the campus. Please note that January 26th is an Australian public holiday, so it is best to book accommodation early to avoid disappointment.

- Can I register for only one day? We encourage attendees to come along to the full conference, and as we are a volunteer-run organisation, we aim to keep prices as low as possible. Reach out if you have questions around this.
- Does my dinner ticket include registration to the conference? No, your dinner ticket only includes the conference dinner. You will need to purchase a separate ticket for the conference.
- Am I allowed to bring my partner/friend to the dinner? Yes, provided they purchase their own ticket through the registration portal. Note: they do not require a registration to the conference to attend the dinner.
- Can I transfer my registration? If you would like to transfer your registration, please reach out to us on contact@sraanz.org.nz and we will be able to help you out.
- What is the cancellation policy? Refunds are available up until 30 days prior to the event. Unfortunately, we do not allow refunds within 30 days of the conference.
- How do I become an SRA member? We love new members! Feel free to join up directly at: https://www.sra.org/membership/
- Will presentations be recorded? No, presentations will not be recorded and there will be no virtual options for this event.
- What meals cater for dietary requirements? Dietary requirements will be captured in the registration form. Please ensure that you fill out your dietary needs and we will do our best to accommodate you.
- Do you have childcare options? Unfortunately, not at this stage! However, this is something that we will investigate for future conferences.
